From concept to jewel, a design made just for you
In our Bologna workshop every bespoke jewel begins with an idea and takes shape through a process of listening, design and meticulous attention to detail.
The process
Listening
The starting point can be your own sketch, an image, an inspiration or simply an idea to develop. If you do not yet have a specific design in mind, we create an original proposal tailored to you and to what you wish to express through the jewel.
3D design
Once the concept is defined we move to 3D design: we build the jewel in every detail and assess its shape, proportions and features before production. Photorealistic renders let you preview the result and adjust the design if needed.
Prototype
For creations that require it we produce a 3D-printed resin trial model, so you can see and judge the shape, size and proportions on your finger before we move to final production.
Making
Only when every detail is settled does the design come to life: casting, stone setting and finishing at the bench. A jewel that never existed before and truly belongs to the person who imagined it.
What to bring to the first meeting
- A picture, a sketch or a reference, however rough.
- A stone or a family jewel to reinterpret, if you have one.
- An idea of the budget: it helps us propose the right solution, not the most expensive one.
- Your ring size, if you know it. Otherwise we measure it in the atelier.
Timing and cost
Every project receives a written quote before work begins; commissions start from around 250 euros. Timing depends on the complexity of the piece and the availability of stones, and we agree it together with the quote. If you have a date in mind, tell us straight away.
Engagement rings and wedding bands
These are the projects we follow most often: solitaires, trilogies, classic bands or bands designed around the engagement ring. We choose the diamond or stone, the setting and the metal together, and show you the result before we make it.
New life for what you already own
An inherited jewel, an unset stone, gold you no longer wear: we redesign them into a new piece, keeping what matters of the original story. With our Tesoro service the value of your gold is deducted from the new jewel.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We receive by appointment from Monday to Saturday, so every meeting has the time it needs. Message us on WhatsApp or call to arrange one.
How much does a bespoke jewel cost?
It depends on the metal, the stones and the complexity. Commissions start from around 250 euros and every project receives a written quote before work begins.
How long does it take?
We agree it together with the quote: 3D design and prototype take a few days, the making depends on the piece and on the availability of stones. If you have a deadline, tell us at the first meeting.
Can I bring my own diamond or a family jewel?
Yes. We can unset, reset or reinterpret stones and metals you already own; with our Tesoro service the value of your gold is deducted from the new jewel.
Will I see the jewel before it is made?
Yes: realistic renders of the 3D design and, for pieces that call for it, a resin model to try on your finger. Anything that needs changing is changed before casting.
Do you work with clients outside Bologna?
Yes. Design, renders and revisions can be reviewed remotely; a visit to the atelier remains the best moment to choose stones and try the prototype.
Are the diamonds certified?
On request we source diamonds accompanied by a certificate from an independent gemmological laboratory, and we show you the stone under the loupe before setting it.
